Welcome to the SirPic Developers Lab. This section is dedicated to PIC projects which utilise SirPic.
These projects require either the IrTx, SIrTx, SerialPIC, InfraPIC or BitStream modules to be constructed.
Full construction details of all these interfaceses can be found in the Interface guide
available from the downloads page.
The individual project pages also contain links for downloading source code and hex files.
- Hello Palm using 'C'
Demonstrates how a PIC 'C' compiler can be used to modulate an
output signal to drive a "cheap and cheerful" infra-red transmitter, with minimal external components.
- PIC Serial to Infra-red Converter using 'C'
Demonstrates how a PIC 'C' compiler can be used to convert a serial TTL bitstream
to an infra-red bitstream, using a "cheap and cheerful" infra-red transmitter.
- Infra Red Scope via BitStream
Demonstrates how to use BitStream to capture and display the infra red
data signal transmitted from the remote control of a consumer device (eg TV remote control).
- Half-Duplex Serial <-> Infra-Red Converter
Demonstrates how to use the SerialPIC and InfraPIC interfaces back to back,
to produce a half-duplex Serial RS232 to Infra-Red (SIR) bi-directional converter.
This page is continuously being updated with new and educational SirPic projects.
If you have a SirPic project, which you would like to share with the SirPic community, please
do contribute.
